Via a salary sacrifice scheme employees can purchase extra annual leave. This is called ‘Holidayplus’ and employees agree to sacrifice part of their salary in return for extra annual leave entitlement.

This reduces the employer's wage bill but more crucially helps employees spread the cost of purchase by agreeing to a monthly deduction from their gross salary, thus reducing the immediate financial impact.

It helps reduce costs without damaging the employer's good reputation.

It is relevant and simple to administer and has proved to be a powerful employee benefit.
